Well I might have photoshopped that last line a little π but aside from that, yeah, it happened. I’m sure it’s some setting that I’m too lazy to figure out how to change, but it was making me pretty paranoid for a while.

Now you have an inkling of what it’s like when a Brit types anything into a basic Chrome text box. At least with most systems there’s a way of changing your default language settings (even if they are well hidden). But Chrome sees no English other than US (as far as I can tell). And then there’s lazy/incompetent people who installed Word without changing the default settings so I end up editing a document in US English and Letter page layout instead of UK and A4.
This is a relatively regular occurrence over here so it’s lovely to know that it works the other way too!
